A system problem has been identified by Illinois Medicaid pertaining to “Spenddown Eligibility Discrepancies.” The eligibility information that Illinois Medicaid is providing to Passport Health Communications does not correspond to the spenddown eligibility determination that is reflected in the Medicaid system. As a result of this incorrect eligibility data being provided to Passport, services/claims are rejecting for “Spenddown Met,” HFS 2432, Split Bill Transmittal Form required.
Illinois Medicaid is working on this issue and expects to have a correction in place by the end of March 2014.
