UHC issued two remittance files on 12/11/2015 and 12/24/2015 which contained multiple remits that were duplicated in the same file, this would have caused the original amount to double when posted to your SFTP servers and to ECARE. While this issue didn’t affect all providers, we want to make you aware of this issue in case you were affected. We have reached out to United Healthcare and they have reissued clean files without duplicates; therefore, you will see the affected remits from United Healthcare posted again. United Healthcare is still researching the root cause of the issue to prevent it from reoccurring, once they have an official answer we will have this posted.
