Passport Release Notes for 09 19 2013

Change Overview:

eCare NEXT bar – Login prompt in a pop-up window instead of on the NEXT bar

  • Passport will deploy a new eCare NEXT login routine this week (09/19/13) so that application settings may be verified and downloaded prior to launching the NEXT bar.  We are confident that this change will improve the efficiency and reliability of the authentication process.  Click-once users will see the pop-up immediately.  However, MSI users will not receive a pop-up prompt until they have downloaded the latest version of the MSI NEXT bar.
  • A user may still login through the NEXT bar if they click cancel on the pop-up.  However, they may have to login again to view configuration changes.

eCare NEXT bar – ClickOnce Cleaner

  • ClickOnce Cleaner will be deployed as part of the new ClickOnce MSI.  It will allow MSI users to easily remove a previous ClickOnce version so that a new one can be successfully loaded.  When users see the “cannot start application” pop-up , they can open the cleaner for the start menu and click clean to de-install the current NEXT bar version.  Afterwards, they’ll be able to load the newest ClickOnce version.

Special Notes:

PaymentSafe – Added email functionality on 09/13/2013

  • Allows an email to be sent for current and previous payments made.
  • The email does not contain any PHI data but is merely a confirmation email that a payment was accepted and when and for how much.
  • To initiate an email press the “email confirmation” button at the bottom of the payment taken or previously processed payment.  A box will open that requires the input of the email address to email the confirmation to.  Fill in the email address and click button that says email confirmation.

Self-Service Portal – Allow setup of Master/Puppet relationship through the self-service portal (SSP).  These changes have been deferred to the 09/26/2013 Deployment!
