Medicare Hospice Alerts Issue Resolved

[05.28.2014]  Passport deployed a change last night to resolve the issue of hospice alerts firing when the patients do not have an active Hospice episode open.

[05.22.2014] We had previously announced a 05.23.14 date to fix this issue.  However, we have rescheduled for the evening of 5/27/14.  We apologize for the delay.

[05.13.2014]  Passport has identified an issue that is causing Medicare Hospice alerts to fire when the patients do not have an active Hospice episode open. On May 4th, Medicare began returning information related to the number of hospice occurrences the beneficiary has on file. If the beneficiary doesn’t have a hospice occurrence the response indicates “0” episodes.  The alerts are misinterpreting these responses which is causing the alert to fire in error.  It is important to note that the Medicare responses are accurate.
