Change Overview:
Patient Payment Estimator (PPE)
- The PPE discount fields in eCare NEXT will now be editable for all users. A user can change the Patient Responsibility Amount as well as the discount percentage to achieve a new Total Amount Due value. This matches the functionality in our IntelliSource product. The estimated payment responsibility (EPR) value still will not auto update, but this functionality will be available soon. *This change was scheduled last week, but was not deployed as planned.
Special Notes:
- Passport will deploy a new eCare NEXT login routine on the evening of August 29th. Instead of launching the NEXT bar to login, a pop-up box will appear first so that application settings may be verified and downloaded prior to launching the NEXT bar. We are confident that this change will improve the efficiency and reliability of the authentication process. Click-once users will see the pop-up after August 29th. However, MSI users will not receive a pop-up prompt until they have downloaded the latest version of the MSI NEXT bar.
