ICD-10 Update as of 03.13.2014

Passport has been proactively preparing for ICD-10 since 2012 and all of our products are ICD-10 compliant. The following ICD-10 update was posted on our online portals, OneSource and eCare Online today to keep our clients up-to-date and we want to make sure all of our clients see it.

Intended Audience

This update will affect Passport users who submit claims, verify medical necessity or check for prior authorization. This update will not affect eCare Online or OneSource users who only check for insurance eligibility or claim status.

General Information

All Passport products are ICD-10 ready. No remediation is required and there are no fees associated with the ICD-10 transition.

Payors are reaching out to providers to test, not to the vendors. Please contact us as soon as you decide you would like to test with a payor.

Claims Testing

The ideal process is to send test claims to Passport on a regular basis. Your support programmer can instruct you on where to send the test files. These test files can then be sent to our test clearinghouse and aggregated for testing. Then when the payor is ready to test, your claims will be ready for submission.

Current Payor Testing Results

•Completed Medicare testing week (March 3-7, 2014). Successfully submitted claims to NGS, WPS and Novitas. 277CA reports were returned and reconciled to the test files for those providers who participated.

•Ongoing testing with Aetna, Aetna Better Health and Coventry. Please email Betsy Brentz (betsy.brentz@passporthealth.com) if you have been contacted to test with these payors. Successfully submitting test claims to Emdeon for these payors.

NOTE: The payors listed below are current as of the date of this announcement. These lists are subject to change and payors may be added or removed in the future.
