ICD-9 to ICD-10 Transition – 04.07.2014 Update

On April 1, President Obama signed into law a bill that delays the implementation of ICD 10 until at least October 1, 2015. A new implementation date has not been mandated as of this post. As a result, Passport Health expects that some payors may suspend their testing, as Blue Cross of Illinois has done. Passport will continue to work with any payors that wish to continue testing and will update this site accordingly. Please continue to look for updates on this site for payor information regarding testing.

Up to this point, Passport Health has had successful submission of ICD 10 test claims to the MACs, Aetna, Blue Cross of Illinois, Coventry and Emdeon. We have complete confidence that our clearinghouse is ready for ICD 10. We will continue to monitor this ever changing situation.
