Wednesday, July 1 – UHC has indicated that a change was deployed last night in their system that causes transactions with free text admission reasons to return NOA failures. They have a ticket open internally to correct this issue, but they have not posted an ETA. As a work around, users can resubmit NOAs through IntelliSource, eCareNEXT, or EDI with coded diagnosis codes, and those transactions will process as expected. In IS and eCN, we have a look up tool that can help you with finding the corresponding diagnosis codes.
