Sept 8, 2015 – Update
The OSM ICD10 deployment is being postponed until Tuesday Sept. 15, 2015.
Sept. 4, 2015 – New functionality has been developed within OrderSmart to meet the 10/1/15 requirements for capturing ICD10 codes. The system will search for and accept both ICD9 and ICD10 codes. However, for Dates of Service prior to 10/1, the user is directed to select ICD9 codes and for appointments 10/1 and after, the user is directed to select ICD10 codes.
Existing ICD9 codes entered for post 10/1/2015 dates of service will need to be updated by users. This applies to both creating an order and screening Medical Necessity as well
as ad hoc Medical Necessity checking within OrderSmart. Please see the attached client communication document for OrderSmart ICD10 lookup and translation.
Note: ICD10 codes will be added to OrderSmart Diagnosis lookup on Wednesday, September 9th. If there are any questions, please contact your Account Manager.
