Encrypted Hardware Errors (bad swipe or decryption error) – resolved as of 8:54am CT

8:54am CT – Issue is now resolved, swiped transactions on the encrypted hardware are now processing normally.

7:43am CT – Passport is aware of the errors being returned on the encrypted hardware this morning.  All the encryption and decryption on these devices run through a service provided by a third party.  We are currently in contact with that vendor and working towards a resolution.

In the meantime, you should be able to manually key in payments into the application and bypass the hardware if you are getting the error until we can resolve this issue.
